That's one of my favourite speaking activities, and one of the best ways I know of involving everybody in the class course. They find it a little bit hard and sometimes it's difficult to start... but once I get them talking, they really get involved, they participate (one way or another) and they have fun.
There are different ways of bringing up a role play. This is my favourite: first, we make four or five lists of words (verbs, nouns, prepositions...). Then, we make up sentences combining words from each list. These will be the titles of the possible role plays!! From this point on, they improvise their role plays. The results are really good. Why don't you check them on our new album? Go and take a look!!

Hi there, Mums and Dads!!
English is a difficult subject, we all know that. Sometimes it's difficult to keep kids motivated and satisfied, but it's important to do so if we want them to keep up and reach the subject goals. So we are always trying to find new ways of teaching and learning EFL (English as a foreign language).
One of the most important aspects we have to consider when teaching any language is the developing of the speaking skills. Interactive and talking activities are a very important part of our everyday classes, as you can see if you take a look at our new album. Wheter it is through role plays, informal assesment, observations or games, we try to get our students to talk as much as we can. And it's always funny and interesting!! Why don't you check our new album? You'll see we really have a good time while working and learning!! Go to our albums site and enjoy.

Hi there, Mums and Dads!!
Christmas time is definitely over and we face a new term. And as it's just to be expected, it's full of new projects, goals and challenges. How can we face up to all this and come out of it? There isn't a perfect or miraculous way to do things, but I've always been a firm defender of learning through playing. Of course it has its disadvantages, but I think it's a great way to get to children and motivate them. They learn almost without noticing they do it, and they enjoy the process... and that means they are more likely to remember and consolidate the things we practice at school. Playing, after all, is an important part of our lives, don't you think so?
Would you like to see your kiddies try learning through playing? Go to our albums site and click on my new album. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!

Hi there, Mums and Dads?
Would you like to see your children fighting to protect our world? Come and visit our albums site!! There, you'll learn that English isn't just another language, it's also a powerful weapon. 6th grade kids faced an English questions-and-answers challenge today... and they had the chance to fight some terrible monsters. It was very simple: if they got the right answer to questions, they could shoot the monsters with wet tissues. It was quite difficult: they had to choose the questions, ask them to one another and answer... and they couldn't use Spanish at all. They did it really well... and we had a great time!! I enjoyed the afternoon a lot and I am really proud of them.

When your kids work together, there's no limit to what they can do. Don't you believe it? Well, then come and see. This is the story they created together last Thursday. Of course it's completely absurd and mad, but it's great and they did it all by themselves. Here it is:
'A girl is running to the cinema. The cinema is enchanted. The girl has got brown eyes, black hair and small mouth, and she is magic. She turns into a monster and kills everybody at the cinema. She goes out of the cinema and kills people in the street. There is a teacher in the street, she finds the monster and kills it. Its blood runs along the street. A boy is running and their feet touch the blood. He turns into an elephant. But a wizard fins the elephant and turns it into a boy again'.

Joel, Marta, Marc, Gisela, Paula, Lleonard, Pau, Oriol, Rut and Mireia.
Funny, isn't it? I'm really proud of them. See you!!

Hi there!!
Speaking is the most important part of a new language learning... but it's also the most difficult and challenging thing we must face. So, you know what they say... the sooner, the better. Your kids had their first taste this afternoon and, what do you think? They survived! Would you like to see what they did? Then, visit our albums site and come to our restaurant, it's nice and cheap!! And when you finish your meal, you can see them facing a listening. They really know how to handle it. It was a very complete class, indeed!!
Anything else, madam?

Hi there!! The most important task we must face when we are learning a new language is talking... but it's also the most difficult one!! And if we feel insecure, we'll try to avoid it whenever we can... so it's important to create a pleasant and nice atmosphere if we want to help children develop their speaking skills. That's what we did last Thursday (or, at least, that's what we tried to do). Why don't you visit our albums site to take a glimpse of our speaking class? We tried a new (and suitable for all audiences) version of the famous "Bottle" game. It was really funny and they talked a lot. I really enjoyed it!!
Mmmmmmm....
